Hi, I'm Peter Thorneycroft, I live in Brighton in the UK, and I've been animating professionally for 4 years. All short term contracts initially in children's television, but more recently in computer games. I've been unable to secure a permanent position throughout all my career. Which prompted me to improve my skills and enroll on to iAnimate.

I was looking at studios in New Zealand and was really interested in Grinding Gear Games, I also saw that they were looking for animators. So I sent a cover letter, with CV and my showreel.
Usually I'd wait weeks to hear back, but the art director got back to me that evening saying they loved my showreel, however the position was filled last year. He did say that he will put my application in the (as he described) 'awesome applications folder'. I was flattered but didn't think anything of it till last week they asked if I was still interested and gave me a short animation test to complete over the weekend. I completed it and they offered me a job the same day, and said there was the possibility of making me the lead if the expansion goes well! So now I'm in the process of filling out visa forms to move to New Zealand. I can safely say that it was the iAnimate work that made me stand out and made all this possible. A big thank you to all the iAnimate team and community!
I thoroughly recommend iAnimate and frequently do! The mentoring, is fantastic, I have learn so much, and the ever increasing library of rigs really helps to make your showreel stand out.
Thank you iAnimate!
