After years focused on the gaming industry, I felt the need to go further in the level of subtlety and polish of my work. I wanted to make the jump from games to animation feature films, but my reel was missing some decent acting pieces! With this goal in mind, I decided to enroll Feature Animation Workshops 4 and 5, while working fulltime during 2013. Tal Shwarzman and Stephen Melagrano are outstanding instructors. I worked really hard to reach the pro level required by them. But the effort paid off. I sent my new reel to Lightbox Entertainment and I've been hired for their upcoming feature film "Capture The Flag" (Paramount worldwide distribution). And....I cannot be more thrilled! Thank you, iAnimate!

My name is Daniel Bodinof, I've been a 2d television animator for 14 years, but 5 months ago I had a realization that what I truly wanted to do was animate for Video Games. I'd never touched Maya before and my reel didn't have anything that showed any knowledge of 3d let alone video game mechanics. I knew I needed insider experience and instruction. When I was researching my options, iAnimate's games workshop seemed to be exactly what I needed. I got to learn from David Lam, one of the best in the business. I was given real assignments like you would receive at a studio job, and I was encouraged to push for industry quality. 14 weeks later I had a demo reel that got me a job at my first studio of choice that I applied to. Sounds crazy but its true. Thanks iAnimate!

Angela is our latest rig release, she will be available for all our students during the second half of this upcoming workshop. The creator, modeler, rigger and animator is Angelo Sta Catalina. Angelo is one of our very talented graduates, now animating for Reel FX. He created Angela during his final block of workshops and is perfecting her rig over the next few weeks to be ready for students during this block. She is one of the most appealing characters I have ever worked with and that includes the big studios. I can't wait to release her exclusively to our iAnimate students.

"I learn a lot about Maya, which I have also translated into other software too. I now know what I’m doing, and can start to render all my showreel shots." iAnimate Alumni, Wayne Dixon

iAnimate brings you the best rigs in the industry and Jake is the latest in our line up of appealing characters. Jake was designed by David Boudreau, modeled by Jack Leaders, and rigged by Victor Vinyals. He has a very broad range of expressions and a super flexible body rig that is a joy to push around.
