For over the past 10 years, Stephen has applied the craft of character animation to a variety of projects and has been fortunate to have worked with some of the biggest studios in the animation industry. His start in feature animation came from an internship with Pixar Animation Studios. Since then, Stephen has had the pleasure of working on projects for Blue Sky Studios, Reel FX, Dreamworks Animation, Laika, Blizzard Entertainment, and most recently as a Senior Character Animator for Sony Pictures Imageworks. Eager to share his love of animation, Stephen has been involved with teaching at iAnimate.net and is co-creator of SpeakingofAnimation.com.

In our 43rd episode, we interview Sebastian Kalemba who is currently a Lead Animator at CD Projekt RED in Poland. Sebastian (Seb) is not only one of the first students to grace iAnimate, later he became a feature alumni, and now you can find him teaching in our game workshops. Seb lead the animation team on CD Projekt's critically acclaimed The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. In this interview we discuss his role as a lead on the project, his journey to get there, and tips for working in a creative, yet busy, industry.

We have returning guest, James Bennett. James has been working in the animation industry for over 15 years and has worked at some of the top studios and blockbuster films during that time. He has worked on such films as Godzilla, The Hobbit, Avatar, King Kong, Tin Tin, How To Train your Dragon 2, & Madagascar 3. James has been teaching in our Creature workshop division helping students achieve the amazing quality found in our recent creature student show reel, but will also now taking on a new workshop here, Pre-Visualization. In this podcast we talk to James about his experience working in pre-viz for films like How To Train Your Dragon 2 and what one can expect from the workshop he'll be teaching.
